Our philosophy:

AVIATION. INNOVATION. BUSINESS

We see ourselves as an infrastructure that connects people, businesses and technologies, while also driving the region’s economy. We consistently focus on sustainable economic and ecological development.

BUSINESS.
We see ourselves as Team MGL.

We provide a home for our established partners at the site and create the conditions for stability and growth. The success of a company strengthens the location; in turn, a thriving airport supports each individual business. In this spirit, we work hand in hand to further develop the location, the city of Mönchengladbach, and aviation in the Rhine region, and to actively shape structural change. We aspire to be attractive to new businesses as well. Through innovative area development, including the parking lot and the trotting track, we create opportunities for new partners.

INNOVATION.
Our heart beats for aviation.

The aviation industry faces the challenge of ensuring decarbonisation and the transition to sustainable aviation. In this context, we do not want to wait for the results of others but actively shape and profitably influence the processes, thereby creating the conditions for new and sustainable value chains at the site from the outset. We have the conditions, like few other airports nationwide, to rigorously test and subsequently implement new airside and landside procedures. Our infrastructure and unique maintenance and flight training expertise at the site make us a real-world aviation laboratory, enabling us to create sustainable blueprints for smaller and larger airports and aerodromes. We use these capabilities to accelerate innovative approaches.

AVIATION.
We combine complex infrastructure with flexible handling.

Our goal is to stabilise and expand our flight operations. In addition to training and maintenance flights and the movements of locally based aircraft, we aim to become a stronger destination for incoming traffic, relieving the surrounding commercial airports and thus contributing to increased productivity in the Lower Rhine region. This is achieved through high-quality terminal infrastructure and service-oriented offer that can be flexibly adapted to meet demand.
